“Flight” by Robert Zemeckis follows Whip Whitaker’s life after he successfully saves a plane from crashing. Beneath the heroicness of Whip, lies a dark territory for his alcoholism. Whip isn’t a bad person; he’s just stuck in a dark place after horrible decisions in the past. Along the way, we meet people that do not tolerate and support his binging. It allows the audience to see how he copes or if he is even willing to cope with his situation. Denzel is what ties this film together. There are some loopholes but you are ever so drawn to whatever he is doing that the rest becomes forgivable. There’s a scene with just him, a bottle and silence for a few minutes. Within that time, you learn everything you need to know and only an actor of his excellence can make the audience feel and understand what’s on his mind.

We get it. She doesn’t like talking to people. She attends red carpets because it’s mandatory. I guess with all the hoopla she’s gotten over the last years for Twilight, she’s probably irritated. I was expecting her to give the same smug look when she started to promote Huntsman but lo and behold, she’s learned to smile. I guess her publicist gave up some percentage of her pay just so Stewart could smile. And when she does smile, she looks amazing.
Her fashion sense isn’t for everyone. At times, you look at her and you wanna go “Holy sh*t, what’s wrong with you?” But I can honestly see her responding “Who gives a f*ck? I like it.” And honestly, she always wears something that flatters her. Her dramatic eye make up and I just woke up hair works as well. I guess you can call the mini-dress with an interesting color and twist is her standard. But hey, she owns it.
